Basa Bata believes that the preschool years are the crucial ones for children’s language and literacy development; what happens during those years is formative and has a lasting effect on all learning.
Promoting literacy at an early age is therefore necessary for the children to grow up and have a full and equal access to opportunities in our society.
Basa Bata was founded in 2006 to increase children’s literacy skills and to foster a love of reading by providing and creating programs for the children, teachers, parents and communities.
