Basa Bata to join The National Library of the Philippines' Library and Information Services Month

Proclamation No. 837 declares the month of November as Library and Information Services Month. It was created so the public can be aware of the invaluable service that libraries and information centers provide.

Scheduled activities in the morning include a motorcade, a holy mass, and awarding for the "2008 Outstanding City Libraries in Metro Manila."

Basa Bata, in cooperation with P/B Rosa Justo of Barangay 20, will bring 60 children from their Day Care Center to visit the Children's Library. There will be a storytelling session and the children will be entertained by "The Chubster" with an interactive magic, puppet and balloon show. (Check out The Chubster's official website at www.thechubstershow.com for the latest news, announcements, and public appearance.)

After the program at the Children's Library, the children will also have the chance to tour adjacent parks like the Quirino Grandstand and Luneta Park.

The event is on November 3, 2008 at The National Library of the Philippines.
